Info Post
Last week I shared here and here a few ideas for keeping your kids busy in the car on a road trip. Our road trip was leading us to a camping trip, so I also wanted to have ways to keep my little guy busy when we were just hanging around camp.

We actually didn't get to do this while we were camping, but we did it up in the mountains this past weekend. It was fun, and I was surprised how much a 2 1/2 year old could get into it! My mother-in-law and I got into the fun as much as he did, so I'm sure it would be great for kids of all ages. I don't think I dreamed this up on my own;I'm pretty sure I saw it somewhere else, but I can't find where!  ***Update***Trish from Mom on Time Out came by and mentioned that she had tried this too. I think her blog is probably where I originally saw it. You should check out her post here. Thanks, Trish!

It's really a simple concept and simple to put together. Paint each section in an egg carton a different color.
I used watercolors and let my little guy paint his own "picture along side me. You can do this ahead of time or bring the paints along on your trip as something else to do.
Go on a scavenger hunt and find things that match all the colors in your egg carton.
It creates a good excuse to go for a walk and get some of that energy out!

Tomorrow, I'm going to share a fun magnetic fishing game as some more camping entertainment. Hope to see you back here then!
